Tokyo 50 — Scooter Experience
Tokyo 50 is a small-group scooter experience designed to explore Tokyo’s neighborhoods in a safe, controlled setting.
Program Overview
Duration: Half-day (approx. 4 hours)
Group Size: Maximum 4 participants
Vehicle: 50 cc scooters provided
Safety Equipment: Helmets, gloves, and protective gear included
Purpose: Test scooter routes, practice urban riding, and provide feedback to Vanish 404 for urban mobility research

VANISH 404 offers half-day and full-day scooter rides on 50cc scooters through the hidden veins of west Tokyo away from the hustle and bustle.
This isn’t sightseeing — it’s escape.

Requirements:
Participants must hold a valid Japanese license or International Driving Permit
This activity does not include sightseeing narration, multi-stop itineraries, or accommodations
Participants ride on private or controlled streets under supervision — no public-road touring without licensed partners
The Slow Side Experience
Half-Day Adventure – ¥18,000 per person
Join us for a relaxed journey through Tokyo's peaceful Fuchu and Chofu districts. We'll weave through quiet residential streets, discover hidden shrines, and share stories about the samurai history that shaped these neighborhoods.

Chaperoned small-group adventure (max 4 riders)
50cc scooter rental

Local insights and stories from your guide
Duration: 4 hours (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Okunitama Shrine – One of Tokyo's most ancient and respected sacred spaces
Tamareien Cemetery – A peaceful place with fascinating local history
Kondō Isami Memorial – Learn about Fuchu's famous samurai son and Shinsengumi commander
Hidden backstreets – Discover the residential Tokyo that guidebooks miss
Optional: Historic Unagi Lunch at Uomoto (+¥5,000 per person) Experience dining in a restaurant that has been serving traditional eel dishes for over 150 years, since the Edo period. Advance booking required due to limited seating.

Tokyo 50 – Refund & Cancellation Policy
(Effective 2026-01-01)
1. Scope
This policy applies to all bookings for Tokyo 50 scooter / motorcycle experiences processed through our website, partner platforms, or in-person.
2. Cancellation by the Participant
Notice Period Before Start Refund Notes
7 days or more 100% Full refund to original payment method.
3 to 7 days (72–168 hrs) 50% Or a one-time free reschedule within 60 days.
Less than 72 hours 0% No refund. Rescheduling allowed with a ¥5,000 fee.
No-show / Over 15 min late 0% Booking is forfeited. No refund or reschedule.
Important:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or contact form. The request is valid only after we confirm receipt.
3. Rescheduling
One complimentary reschedule per booking when requested ≥72 hours before the ride.
Additional reschedule requests: ¥5,000 handling fee.
Rescheduled date must fall within 60 days of the original booking.
4. Cancellation by VANISH 404
We may cancel or shorten a ride for severe weather, natural disasters, mechanical issues, or safety concerns.
Options offered to participants:
Full refund, or
Free reschedule within 90 days.
5. Weather Adjustments (Light Rain)
Tokyo Rides operates in light rain. If a guest elects to cancel due to weather when we deem conditions safe, the standard participant-initiated cancellation terms apply.
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days.
Processing times of individual card-issuing banks are beyond our control.
Currency conversion differences and third-party transaction fees are non-refundable.
7. Non-Refundable Items
Third-party insurance upgrades purchased at checkout.
Custom add-ons (e.g., action-camera rental, private guiding).
Gift cards or promotional vouchers (may be transferred but not refunded).
8. Participant Requirements
Refunds are not granted when participation is denied because the rider fails to provide:
A valid Japanese driver’s license or International Driving Permit,
Closed-toe footwear and appropriate clothing, or
Proof of meeting our minimum riding-experience declaration.
9. How to Cancel or Reschedule
Send an e-mail to vanishforaday@gmail.com with:
Booking reference number
Rider name
Requested action (cancel / reschedule)
We will reply within 24 hours.
10. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the Japanese Consumer Contract Act and related ordinances. In case of dispute, the exclusive jurisdiction lies with the Tokyo District Court.
